This is an installment of a daily project I’m launching for the month of October. I’ll create work revolving around the theme of identity and regrowth and I’ll update my blog with behind the scenes content, process, and finished artwork. Click through to read more. Catch up on the ongoing narrative here.
Today’s a quick post as I’m running out the door this morning. This project has taught me so many different things. It’s brought back my love for illustration and it’s given me the motivation to create daily.
I’m also very excited because I just got word that my best friend from college is moving back into town! Her name’s Veronica and she’s a phenomenal artist. Check out her work on her Instagram: @VeronicaKosowski.
She recommended going through the Illusion of Life, an enormous book on the animation and illustrative process at Disney. I love it. I sketched a little something from it last night.
I’m still figuring out how to combine my love for Disney illustration with my love for the darker things in life. I might upload better quality pictures later this week for today’s post. I love my iPhone camera but I prefer my Canon. ;)
