This is an installment of a daily project I’m launching for the month of October. I’ll create work revolving around the theme of identity and regrowth and I’ll update my blog with behind the scenes content, process, and finished artwork. Click through to read more. Catch up on the ongoing narrative here.
It feels so good to be creating daily. It’s only been a couple of weeks of this, but truly, it feels like this is what I’m supposed to be doing. Yesterday, I started working on small Night Terror paintings in gouache. I also updated my Instagram story with a lot of process videos from yesterday’s painting session. Let me know how you like them! I hope to grab some footage of the process on my good camera so I can upload that soon.
Also – I’ve created an entrance page to my site from Instagram where I’m collecting emails and directing people to recent work — you can find that page here. If you’d like to get on this list and gain access to content first, leave your name and email in the box below. I’m working on setting up a weekly or bi-monthly email so that things don’t get lost in the algorithm.

He’s taken directly from a medieval painting called The Temptation of St. Anthony by Matthias Grunewald. This is him halfway complete. I wanted to experiment with gouache on BFK Rives paper and so far, I’m loving the combined materials. More creepy night terrors to come.
